ABC News highlights Tree Kangaroos and Crittercams
From November 5-7, 2009, ABC News anchor Dan Harris joined researchers from Woodland Park Zoo-based Tree Kangaroo Conservation Program (TKCP) and National Geographic at the program's Wasaunon field research site in the Papua New Guinea cloud forest of the Huon Peninsula.

Information gained from the Crittercam helps researchers learn more about this elusive marsupials' behaviors and habitats, helping make decisions about their conservation. In 2009, the Tree Kangaroo Conservation Program led the way in getting 187,000 acres of tree kangaroo habitat in Papua New Guinea set aside as a designated Conservation Area.
