Individuals and Small Groups
What are Individual and Small Group Zoo Adventures?
Individual and Small Groups Zoo Adventures are for individuals, families and groups of less than 22 people who do not have enough participants to book a private adventure. Multiple parties will be combined to form a larger group of 22 to 75.
For all Individuals and Small Groups Zoo Adventures, guests can choose to register and pay for the Evening Adventure and end their experience at 10:00 p.m. or register and pay for the Overnight Adventure to sleep overnight and enjoy morning activities.
Ages and Chaperones
All children must be at least 7 years old and must be accompanied by adults at a minimum 1:6 ratio of adults to youth.
2013 Program Offerings:
All Overnight Adventures include a light pizza dinner, light breakfast, evening and morning guided programs, and zoo re-entry admission in the morning. All Evening Adventures include a light pizza dinner and guided evening program. Prices are per person.
Stealthy Science: Research After Dark
Join a group of fellow field researchers in training for an evening or overnight expedition at the zoo. Learn about the amazing g tools and techniques used by biologists to study animals in the wild. Hone you tracking skills and use real research equipment wile prowling the zoo with your research team to see the wonders of the zoo at night through the eyes of a field biologist.

Living Wild!
A true outdoor adventure! Bring your own tent(s) and set up camp at the North Picnic Shelter near the Carousel. Together, we’ll tie, pitch, and problem solve our way through basic wilderness skills. Learn to live alongside wildlife while enjoying the great outdoors. Program runs rain or shine, so live wild and com prepared for any weather.
Overnight: $55
Evening: $35
A Zookeeper’s Life for Me
Ever wonder where the giraffes go at night? Or what different owls sound like? The night keeper knows! Join us for an exploration into the life of a zookeeper at Woodland Park Zoo as you investigate the triumphs of caring for some of the smallest and largest animals on earth.
Overnight: $55
Evening: $35
Hours
Overnight: 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Evening: 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Please note: WPZ opens at 9:30 a.m. If you would like to visit the zoo, your overnight staff will give you a hand stamp to re-enter the zoo at that time.
Event Size/Multiple Parties
Please note that Individual and Small Groups Zoo Adventures do include multiple parties combined to form a larger group of 22 to 75 people. You will be eating and enjoying activities as a part of this larger group. In addition, all parties will sleep in the same area. Groups will be smaller for touring zoo grounds.
Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of registration. If this poses a hardship, contact the Group Registrar.
Cancellation Policy
For Zoo Adventures for Scouts and Individuals and Small Groups a minimum of two (2) weeks notice of cancellation is required for a credit or refund. Two (2) weeks notice is also required for change of program date. Woodland Park Zoo reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. Should this occur, a credit or refund will be issued.
REGISTRATION
Participants must pay in full at time of registration. If this poses a hardship for groups of 8 or more, please contact our Group Registrar for assistance.
