Directions and event parking

From I-5, Southbound: 
Take the 50th Street exit from I-5 and turn right onto 50th Street. Continue West on 50th to Phinney Avenue. At Phinney, curve right and continue North to 59th Street. Turn Right on 59th Street and travel East to Evanston Avenue. Turn right into the zoo parking lot.

From I-5, Northbound: 
Take the 50th Street exit from I-5 and turn left onto 50th Street. Continue West on 50th to Phinney Avenue. At Phinney, curve right and continue North to 59th Street. Turn Right on 59th Street and travel East to Evanston Avenue. Turn right into the zoo parking lot.

From Aurora Avenue (Highway 99): 
Take the 46th Street exit (by the Bridge Motel) and turn left onto 46th Street. Continue until you reach Fremont Avenue North. Turn right on Fremont Avenue North and continue to 50th Street. Turn left on 50th and continue west to Phinney Avenue. At Phinney, curve right and continue North to 59th Street. Turn Right on 59th Street and travel East to Evanston Avenue. Turn right into the zoo parking lot.

 

Jungle Party animal tours

Don't miss out on your choice of exclusive Jungle Party Animal Tours. Tours are open to all Jungle Party guests, depart continuously from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., amd feature the following animals: 

 

African and Asian elephants

Come visit the Tropical Asia biome and see our elephants Watoto, Bamboo and Chai working with their keepers in their Thai themed barn or roaming the Elephant Forest where they spend their time exploring, dusting, grazing and even swimming!

   

Western lowland gorillas

Did you know that adult male gorillas eat about 30 pounds of food per day?! You’ll learn many more interesting facts and what Woodland Park Zoo is doing to help save these great apes from extinction when you visit youngster Uzumma and the rest of our western lowland gorillas.

   
 

Asian small-clawed otters

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet a pair of the zoo’s newest animals, our Asian small-clawed otter duo! Learn more about these playful otters from a knowledgeable keeper and watch as they glide and scurry through their brand-new exhibit. 

   
 

Sloth bears

Come see our sloth bears including twin cubs born last December! In the wild, these large and shaggy bears roam the forests of India looking for insects, fruit and honey. Learn more about them on this fun tour and find out about the zoo’s plans to build them a new home. 

   

Humboldt penguins

Get up close and personal with the penguins at their award-winning exhibit. Visit multiple underwater viewing areas and enjoy a private keeper talk to hear about the lives of these unique South American birds. Also learn about what’s being done by Woodland Park Zoo and others to protect this endangered species.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear to Jungle Party?
This is not a black tie event! The dress is casual, so you can enjoy Seattle’s warm, summer sun! Guests are encouraged to dress in the spirit of each year’s Jungle Party theme. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, too, as the party is mainly held on our grassy meadow and you will be walking zoo grounds.


Should I make reservations?
Yes, reservations are required for Jungle Party, as it often sells out prior to the night of the event. Buy tickets online or make reservations by contacting Katie Klump, Jungle Party Auction Manager, at 206.548.2421.


Can I bring my child?
We ask that our guests not bring anyone under the age of 21 to Jungle Party. We strongly feel Jungle Party is not appropriate for children.


How can I reserve transportation during the event for a special needs guest?
We have transportation such as wheelchairs, electric carts, and security escort available for any guest that needs special attention. Please contact Katie Klump, Jungle Party Auction Manager, at 206.548.2421 to reserve specific transportation in advance.


Who should I notify regarding my food allergies?
We are happy to provide a gourmet meal to those with special food allergies or preferences, including vegetarians, vegans, and those with special allergies and intolerances. Because Jungle Party incorporates a theme with the food and beverage served throughout the evening please be sure to contact Katie Klump, Jungle Party Auction Manager, at 206.548.2421 in advance regarding any food allergies.


How can I support Jungle Party if I’m unable to attend?
There are plenty of ways one can support Jungle Party. You can donate an auction item for our silent and live auctions, or make a cash contribution. Should you wish to donate, please contact Geoffrey Arakawa, Jungle Party Procurement Associate, at 206.548.2420. Don’t forget, your employer may even be able to match your contribution!
