Egg Hunts and Family Activities

Throughout the day, families can enjoy amazing egg hunts for children ages 1-8, crafts, bunny encounters and other eggs-citing zoo programs. Each egg hunt is open on a first-come, first-served basis. Space may be limited.

Egg hunts for ages 3-5 and 6-8 in the North Meadow:

10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., noon, 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.

Egg hunts for ages 3 and under are held in the Picnic Shelter near the North Meadow:

9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

As part of the zoo’s conservation mission, families must bring their own egg hunt basket or reusable bag.  For the health and well-being of the zoo’s animals, candy will not be placed inside the eggs—egg hunt participants will receive their treats as they exit the zoo.

Easter Enrichment for the Animals

Meerkats, gorillas, otters and more nibble on specially made Easter baskets lined with flowers, berries and other favorite treats. The special treats are part of the zoo’s excellent animal care program to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals, promote natural animal behavior, keep animals mentally stimulated and engage zoo visitors.
