Where Dinosaurs Come to Life

Opens May 1 - September 1, 2025

Step back in time to when prehistoric giants ruled the Earth with the return of Dinosaur Discovery. Encounter 26 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs as the Habitat Discovery Loop transforms into beautiful prehistoric forest ‘Dinosaur Discovery’. Stand in the shadow of the mighty T. rex, marvel at the towering Brachiosaurus, and come face-to-face with some of the most fascinating creatures to ever walk the planet.

And who knows... you might discover that some of your favorite zoo animals have ancient connections. Emus… meet theropods!

This one-of-a-kind experience brings dinosaurs to life with incredible detail and scale. Even the lush and unique foliage within the exhibit was carefully chosen by WPZ Horticulturists to evoke an ancient world. Midway through the exhibit, visitors can dig into the past at an interactive Fossil Dig Station. Along the way, you’ll encounter a robotic Stegosaurus, revealing the mechanics behind these lifelike dinosaurs, as well as interactive elements like dinosaurs that spray water—so be prepared for a light dino mist! From gentle giants to fierce predators, there’s something for every dino lover to discover.
