West Entrance

Cross Streets
Phinney Ave. N. between N. 55th and N. 56th St.

Access to the West Entrance is available through the Otter and Penguin parking lots. The Otter parking lot can be accessed through the Penguin lot on Phinney Ave N., or the Bear parking lot on N. 59th Street.

South Entrance


750 N. 50th Street, Seattle, WA 98103


Located on N. 50th Street and accessed by the Hippo parking lot. Near the African Savanna exhibit.

 

Directions


Drive Your Car


From North or South bound I-5, take Exit 169/NE 50th St, go west to Phinney Ave. N. Turn right and drive north on Phinney Ave. N. to the West Entrance just past N. 55th St.


Take the Bus


Take North or South bound Metro Bus #5 to Phinney Ave. N. and N. 55th St. to arrive at the West Entrance.

Planning to bike or bus to the zoo? Show your bike helmet or bus ticket for $2.00 off daily admission.

Parking

 

Parking Information

Visitors can pay for parking at one of the kiosks located at each of the parking lots or at the West gate entrance. Please make note of your license plate number to ensure your car is recorded as “paid.”

$8 for first 2 hours; $3 each additional hour
$12.00 maximum daily rate

Parking Policies


FREE covered, secure bicycle parking at West Entrance.
No overnight parking is permitted in the zoo lots.
Bus/RV parking in Hippo lot only.


ADA Accessible Parking

ADA accessible parking stalls are available in all zoo lots. Parking fees do not apply for any vehicle displaying a valid disabled parking placard, in any WPZ parking space. For your convenience, the zoo is also adding six additional, temporary ADA parking spots in the Otter parking lot near the West Entrance.

Electric vehicles park for free while they are charging.

There are four Eluminocity chargers in the Otter Lot by the West Entrance, and two Eluminocity chargers in the Hippo Lot by the South Entrance.
