FORESTS FOR ALL
The campaign to reimagine all that a zoo can be
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Forests for All campaign?
The Forests for All campaign is Woodland Park Zoo’s bold, exciting $110 million fundraising initiative to build a more sustainable future.
We’re reimagining everything a zoo can be for its community and for communities across the globe. We’re rethinking how we build meaningful connections with animals and their habitats. And we’re redefining how together, with the millions of people our zoo touches each year, we can take action to save our forests and greenspaces in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
We simply can’t do it alone, so we’re calling on people like you to join us. Together, we can build a thriving conservation movement where everyone owns their role in protecting our environment.
Why is the zoo doing a campaign right now?
This is a major moment for our planet, for our community, and for zoos everywhere. That’s why in 2018, we brought together 6,000 community members to discuss the future of our zoo. Our neighbors across the Pacific Northwest helped us shape a vision and strategic plan to chart our course toward a better tomorrow for plants, animals, and people.
That means doing all we can to expand on the principles that have made the zoo an extraordinary place for our community and to rapidly respond to the challenges facing our wildlife and habitats right now. Through the Forests for All campaign, we’re raising the support we need to put our shared vision into practice and bring our ambitious plan to life, for the good of every life on earth.
