Celebrate Father’s Day with a brunch experience that’s bear-y special! Guests will be brunching near brown bears, lynx, and elk, enjoying up-close animal views and a hearty buffet stacked with favorites like chicken & waffles, artisan sausage, Bavarian cream puffs, and much more. Plus, every guest receives a complimentary family photo keepsake! Be sure to stop by our airbrush tattoo station, where kids — and kids at heart — can get complimentary bear-themed airbrushed tattoos, making that keepsake photo even more memorable. Raise a mimosa or Bloody Mary to the dads in your life and make memories that will last a lifetime!

Papa Bear Brunch will take place within Living Northwest Trail exhibit, where guests will get to explore the space before the rest of the zoo opens to the public at 9:30am.

Yes, these events are family-friendly so children are welcome!

Lap infants & toddlers 2 and under can attend for free but require a ticket for capacity purposes.

Child tickets are required for ages 3-12 years old to ensure that the kitchen prepares accurate servings.

Adult tickets are required for ages 13 and up.

Please check in at West Entrance 10 minutes before your timeslot:

Since it will likely be busier on Father’s Day, we recommend guests with Sunday, June 21 tickets to arrive 15 minutes early to allow ample time for parking and check-in at West Gate.

Round tables will be arranged inside Nysether Riverhouse building and outdoors along the trail to optimize animal viewing. The tables are set for communal seating, and seating is first-come, first-serve.

We are unable to accommodate table reservations. Larger groups should arrive early to increase the likelihood of adjacent seating.

Yes, groups hoping to sit together or in close proximity MUST purchase all tickets on one transaction and arrive early to increase likelihood of adjacent seating.

Yes, your Papa Bear Brunch ticket includes all-day zoo admission as soon as gates open to the public at 9:30 a.m. We do recommend you explore the zoo after your Papa Bear Brunch event concludes so you get the most out of your dining experience, complimentary photo keepsakes & airbrush tattoos.

No, tickets need to be pre-purchased 8 days in advance.

Parking for these events is in the zoo lots located along Phinney Avenue N. and N. 59th Street, and the lot accessible on N. 50th & Fremont Ave. N.

Penguin Lot and Otter Lot are the two parking lots closest to West Gate.

Pay-for-parking kiosks are located at each lot. Rates for Penguin Lot and Otter Lot: $10 for the first 2 hours; $2 each additional hour with a $14 maximum daily rate (+taxes & fees).

Disabled parking is available in all zoo lots.

If you must park on the streets surrounding the zoo, please be courteous and do not block driveways.

No rescheduling and no refunds. If the zoo cancels an event, we will refund in full.

The event will take place rain or shine. Some tables will be indoors and will have canopies over outdoor tables on rainy days. In the event of inclement weather and zoo closure, we will cancel the event and issue refunds.

Some tables will be indoors and for the outdoor tables, we will only prepare outdoor canopies for rainy days. We strongly recommend guests come prepared with sunhats and sunscreen on sunny days.

Yes! We kindly ask that you park strollers and wagons in designated areas. Your cooperation allows easier access for guests with mobility devices to navigate within Living Northwest Trail. Highchairs will be available upon request.

With so many animal exhibits along Living Northwest Trail, you will likely get to sip coffee strolling past brown bears, Canada lynx, snowy owl, river otters, mountain goats or elk.
