Feel good knowing your ticket supports saving wildlife around the world. Indulge in a tasting flight of sustainable Northwest oysters and local wines while learning about animal dating and mating at Woodland Park Zoo after hours. From reptile matchmaking to penguin love triangles, zoo experts will share all in this nature-inspired night out.

 

Special Activities

This event includes indoor and outdoor activities located across the North Meadow, 1899 Grove, Zoomazium, Picnic Shelter and Penguin exhibit.

  • Sustainable Northwest oyster tastings

  • Zoo educator chats (mating and dating-focused in the animal kingdom)
  • Ambassador Animals encounters

Optional add-ons available for purchase at the event: food menu items, additional oysters, wine, and beer.

Oyster Dome

$800 (plus service fees)


Includes the General Admission experience, plus a private Oyster Dome for 4 and VIP access inside Briar Oak, a bottle of sparkling wine, charcuterie board, dessert board and branded, insulated Wine Glass.

Add an additional person: $200 (only one person add-on allowed for each package)

Are children allowed at Love Shucks?

No, this is a 21 and over event and no one under the age of 21 will be allowed inside the venue


Are the items available for purchase at the event cash only, or do you accept credit cards?

Only card or digital payment will be accepted. No cash.


Is this event raising money for the zoo?

Yes! Ticket sales, along with additional food and drinks, all raise money to benefit Woodland Park Zoo. Since this is an after-hours fundraising event, regular zoo membership admission does not apply.


Where do I park? How much does parking cost?

Parking for this event is in the zoo lots located along Phinney Avenue N. and N. 59th Street, and the lot accessible on N. 50th & Fremont Ave. N. Both the West and South zoo entrances will be open for this event.

Pay-for-parking kiosks are located at each lot. Parking is $10 (+ taxes and fees) in any of the Woodland Park Zoo parking lots.

Disabled parking is available in all zoo lots.

If you must park on the streets surrounding the zoo, please be courteous and do not block driveways.

 

What should I wear?

This is a very casual event and you will be on grass and outdoors, so dress comfortably and appropriately (rain or shine).

 

What animal exhibits will I be able to visit?

Sorry, but you will not be able to visit any of our exhibits.

 

Will there be animal encounters during this event?

Zoo staff and ambassador animals will take you on a funny, fascinating, roller coaster of a ride through the sex lives of wildlife!
