Ilanga’s South African lion cubs will make their p Ilanga’s South African lion cubs will make their public debut Monday, May 18. Viewing the 4-month old female cubs will be intermittent—there is no viewing schedule at this time. Kamari and Zawadi were born January 14 to first‑time parents, mom Ilanga and dad Tandie. Kamari’s name means “moon” in Swahili, Zawadi means “gift.” Both mom and dad are doing excellently in their new roles as parents, as all four lions continue to bond, play and, yes, nap in the outdoor habitat. #woodlandparkzoo #lions #babyanimals #adorable #caturdaycuties

Can you handle this cuddle of cubs? Ilanga’s daugh Can you handle this cuddle of cubs? Ilanga’s daughters, Kamari and Zawadi, will make their public debut sometime next week (stay tuned for an exact date) with limited viewing initially. Over the past week the sister cubs have been exploring and acclimating to their outdoor home and enjoy wrestling and pouncing on mother Ilanga. Tandie is also being introduced to the cubs and soon the whole pride will be ready to meet zoo guests! 🐾💗
