PHOTO OPPORTUNITY / April 23, 2025
Press Preview: #WoodlandJurassicPark!
Media invited to tour Woodland Park Zoo’s new Dinosaur Discovery exhibit

WHAT:
The media is invited to a special photo opportunity at Woodland Park Zoo’s brand new, immersive Dinosaur Discovery exhibit on April 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bring your camera and travel back to a time when massive dinosaurs roamed Earth!
Walk alongside the mighty T. Rex, stretch like the 23-foot-tall Brachiosaurus and learn more about all of your favorite prehistoric reptiles at Dinosaur Discovery! Guests will also enjoy some of the more unique Cretaceous creatures like the robot Stegosaurus that gives an inside look into how these massive dinos operate.
During the preview the zoo will also unveil a custom Baryonyx designed by a local child who is a patient at Seattle Children’s. The zoo accepted designs from several local children ages 1-17 as part of its “Design-a-Dinosaur Coloring Contest.” The contest was promoted on the zoo’s website and with several non-profits and organizations participating in the zoo’s Community Access Program. The contest winner will be available for interviews with the media.
Dinosaur Discovery is sure to be a fully immersive experience thanks, in part, to Woodland Park Zoo’s talented horticulture team that transformed the landscape into a prehistoric forest with live plants, expertly chosen to take guests back in time.
