Driving Directions

Find the best transportation options for you and your crew — from onsite parking in our Parking Lots to carpool and bus information, we want you to enjoy your event from the moment you arrive.

The zoo has multiple parking lots available for concert parking. In order of proximity to the West Entrance:

  • Penguin Lot at Phinney Ave. N. and N. 55th St.
  • Bear and Otter Lots at N. 59th St. and Evanston Ave. (Otter Lot is accessible from Bear and Penguin lots.)
  • Flamingo Lot at the intersection of N. 50th St. and Phinney Ave. N.
  • Hippo Lot at the intersection of N. 50th St. and Fremont Ave. N.

NOTE: Access to the West Entrance is available through the Otter and Penguin parking lots. The Otter parking lot can be accessed through the Penguin lot on Phinney Ave N., or the Bear parking lot on N. 59th Street.

*Additional parking is located in Lower Woodland Park at N. 50th and Aurora Ave. N. about .1 mile from the South Entrance. If you park in residential neighborhoods, please be courteous and do not block driveways.

 

Parking Information

Visitors can pay for parking at one of the kiosks located at each of the parking lots or at the West gate entrance. Please make note of your license plate number to ensure your car is recorded as “paid.”

ADA accessible parking stalls are available in all zoo lots. Parking fees do not apply for any vehicle displaying a valid disabled parking placard, in any WPZ parking space. 


Electric car charging stations


There are four Eluminocity chargers in the Otter Lot by the West Entrance, and two Eluminocity chargers in the Hippo Lot by the South Entrance. Parking and charging fees apply.


Prices for parking in all zoo lots:


$8 for first 2 hours; $3 each additional hour
$12.00 maximum daily rate
(+ taxes and fees)

No overnight parking is permitted in the zoo lots. Bus/RV parking in Hippo lot only.

 


By Bicycle


Covered bicycle parking is available at the West Entrance to the zoo.


By Carpool


A limited number of premium spaces are reserved for carpool vehicles in the zoo’s North (Bear) lot on a first-come, first-served basis.


By Transit


Take North or South bound Metro Bus #5 to Phinney Ave. N. and N. 55th St. to arrive at the West Entrance.
