Meet the Artists

Emma Giles

Emma Giles is a Seattle-based artist and educator with degrees in art and fashion design. A former shoe designer in NYC, Emma now shares her passion for creativity as a preschool art teacher at Pacific First Montessori while pursuing a master’s degree to teach art at the middle and high school levels. In addition to teaching Emma runs a small ceramic business during the spring and summer months, creating unique handcrafted pieces that reflect her love of color, form and function. In her free time, Emma loves going to the movies, exploring new art mediums, spending time with friends and family and enjoying the beautiful nature of the Pacific Northwest.

Angeline Shrike

Angeline Shrike is an artist born and raised in Washington State. She is a huge fan of working from nature and life and strives to capture the human experience from conscious and meticulous observation. Her education in art consists of Seattle’s Gage Academy of Art’s Classical Atelier program and various other multi-year mentorships and design schools in Los Angeles. Sarah Elizabeth

Sarah Elizabeth is a local Seattle artist, originally from Orange County, CA. Musically inspired art, murals, art classes, and live painting are her specialties. Sarah’s work focuses on cross-sensory collaboration and teaching people to open up to their hidden art side. Her goal is to create events that bring the community together again! When not painting, you’ll find Sarah volunteering for local nonprofits or teaching art in her K-8 Classroom.

Casey Ailes

Seattle-based artist Casey Ailes has been honing her skills in creating works based on the environmental concerns that live at the top of her consciousness. Originally trained as a fine art photographer at John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, she received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts. Casey works as a multidisciplinary artist; her focus continues to bring awareness to human activity’s environmental impact on animals, especially penguins.

Casey’s abstract paintings have found their way into national collectors, including the Irwin Bank Art Collection. Her photography has been published in the New York Times and Photographer’s Forum, and she won first prize at the Midwest National Abstract Exhibition for her painting, “Not Polar Bear Food”.

Casey’s evolution into combining her work began as she returned to the academic world for her Master’s in Fine Art in painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Casey uses her love of abstract painting, detailed photography skills, and innovative sculptures to create her environmental-based work. Locally, Casey teaches for Pratt Fine Art Center, and her work can be seen in galleries around Seattle, currently on view at the A/NT Gallery at Seattle Center and The Fishbowl Gallery in Uptown. Marsha Berning

Marsha Berning currently serves as the Contract Manager for Over The Line Art. She runs the daily operations including Face Paint, Temporary Tattoos and Caricatures.

She has been drawing Caricatures and painting faces for over 20 years.

Clients include Proctor & Gamble, Microsoft, Facebook.

Much of her experience also includes spending time in these fabulous theme parks: Sea World of Florida and California, Disney, Cedar Point and King’s Island of Ohio among others.

Home base is now Seattle WA.

Dex Rothschild

Dex Rothschild is a Seattle-based artist and co-founder of Over The Line Art, known for lively caricatures and colorful face painting experiences across the Pacific Northwest. He operates Over The Line kiosks at both Pike Place Market and Woodland Park Zoo, where his team creates joyful art experiences for guests of all ages. Inspired by animals, humor, and adventure, Dex’s work celebrates personality and playfulness.
