It’s official! Our two bundles of joy have names! It’s official! Our two bundles of joy have names! Meet Kadre and Oku! These little loves were born just days apart in May to gorilla mamas Jamani and Olympia.

Their names, which represent the African range where western lowland gorillas live, were chosen by friends of the zoo, including a long-time supporter and her husband and one of the doctors who helped deliver Olympia’s baby by emergency C-section.

For more on their stories and how it came about that the “mama team” of Jamani and Olympia are raising each other’s babies, check out our latest blog at link in bio or blog.zoo.org
